Effortlessly Slice Pineapples with the Crofton Pineapple Slicer at Just $4.99

Crofton Pineapple Slicer

Any tool that aids you in the kitchen and makes cooking a more viable option is always fun. We have to give Aldi some credit for bringing in such various products at reasonable prices.

If the above statement interests you, then you would like the new Crofton Pineapple Slicer. There is nothing complex about this product. It does what the name suggests. But, I was also wondering if it would assist in slicing other fruits.

Pineapples taste super nice but cutting them can at times be a task, especially for someone who hasn’t done it before. This tool can be a great start. The hopes were high because the Slicer is from Crofton.

Crofton is one of the favorite labels of AOS shoppers. Crofton is a private label by Aldi which is known for its affordable and handy kitchen appliances. You can find big items such as pans, and pots, and assisting appliances such as a Spice Grinder and cutlery. All these products have worked well.

Let me tell you more about this week’s Aldi Find Crofton Pineapple Slicer, and you can decide whether it is a deal for you or not.

Crofton Pineapple Slicer

The Crofton Pineapple Slicer is available in Week’s Aldi Finds from 06/05/2024 and is priced at $4.99.

The reason to buy the Crofton Pineapple Slicer in the first place was to gift it to my 5-year-old niece. She likes pineapple a lot and I thought this tool would be an easy way for my sister to cut her favorite food. She is a big foodie like her aunt.

The Crofton Pineapple Slicer is available in 3 basic colors, pink, blue, and yellow. And the body is made up of metal. It isn’t mentioned anywhere, but I am assuming it is steel. The colorful top is detachable. At the bottom, there is a disc that has sharp bumpy edges.

The handle which is the colorful top is an ergonomic design. Ergonomic design is something that helps people to use a device comfortably by using the natural positioning of the body. Hence, it will provide you with a nice grip while slicing the pineapple.

The usage of the device is simple as well. You will have to cut the top and the bottom of the pineapple with a knife so that it sits flat on the countertop to use the device. So, if you are planning to use it for kids, you will have to do this initial cutting device.

Place that serrated disc on the bottom of the tool over the core. Then just twist until you reach the bottom. There are marks on the body of Crofton Pineapple Slicer, you can follow them. It cores the pineapple and you are left with perfect rings

You can then cut this cored piece of pineapple with a knife to get the perfect hotel-type sliced pineapple. The center or the cored pineapple will be left behind. But there is a way you can utilize the leftover peel and the core of the fruit so that there is minimal wastage.

Firstly, not all pineapple cores are non-edible. Some smaller pineapple cores can be edible, which means you can simply eat them up. But, if you have any doubts, there are some other ways as well.

You can use the top of the pineapple and plant it. It might take some time, but you will have more fruits in the future. What about the rest of the fruit?

Well, there is a way for them as well. You can boil down pineapple rinds and the little bits, strain them off, add honey, cinnamon, ginger, and a little sugar, and thicken it up like a sauce or a jam. Perfect to toss it up on donuts, and pastries or eat alone.

You can use the hollow peel as a glass to make your Hawaiian punches and Pina colades more interesting.

Another interesting feature about the Crofton Pineapple Slicer is the fact that it is dishwasher safe. Also, you can use the Crofton Pineapple Slicer on watermelons as well, just exert less pressure.

Is it a Good Deal?

Yes, the Crofton Pineapple Slicer is a very handy and good deal. It will be perfect for kids, but you will have to assist a little. It might get a little messy because juice can spew out, but other than that this tool is perfect.

The Crofton Pineapple Slicer falls into a similar price range as its contemporaries but is still a lot cheaper than the branded ones. The best thing is that it works and is trusted by AOS shoppers and the worst part is that the Crofton Pineapple Slicer is an Aldi Find, if once gone we do not when they will return.
